No internet connection on any appliance

Morning, I’ve tried speaking with Talktalk twice about my issue.  They reckon there was an issue with my line but I know it’s an issue with the fibre hub.  I’ve lost all connection, my iPad will not even pick up the hub.  It just continuously flashes amber.  Luckily I’ve managed to find an old router and I do have internet through that although security is weak.  

An engineer has been sent to “fix the issue” but still the fibre hub does not work.  Same flashing amber light.  
How can you get a replacement hub from Talktalk because I’ve asked twice now for a new one.

Apologies, just very frustrated because my work relies on having a properly working network.
