Wifi Channel keeps reverting back to default

Hello,

Recently after moving my PC and xbox into another room of the flat i've noticed that my speeds have not been the best (30mbps). After doing some digging, changing the wifi channels to ones not as congested for both 2.4GhZ and 5GhZ brings me back to full speeds (150mbps).

However, after a while the channels revert back to what they were before (channel 1 for 2.4GhZ) and my speeds just drop again. Is there a way to fix this? Older threads suggest this is auto optimisation but if so, this feature is anything but optimising.

Thanks

Hi gman126

Optimisation is now off for your router.

Thanks

Karl.

Hi @gman126,

Sorry, but I am just a customer myself.

Thanks Keith,

It's weird though that this isn't something that can be done at the router level itself. I know i've seen an option to do so in previous routers i've had.
