900 to 1600mbps and renewals

I’m almost out of contract having been with TalkTalk for 12 months. Which has been issue free and I’ve been pretty happy. I’m getting direct mails from

competitors about going from 900 to 1600mbps. My renewal for the next period has jumped over £10 a month and looks to have gone from 12 to 24 months. Does TalkTalk have any plans to offer a faster service beyond 900mbps and has anyone had much luck negotiating a cheaper rate and a shorter period? Going from £45 a month over 12 months to £54 for 24 months is a decent hike.

Hi

No plans have been announced for higher speed packages, and as Gliwmaeden2 says, best to speak to our Loyalty Colleagues to discuss contract and package options.

Some advice I would give, is to ask yourself if you actually need higher speeds.  With the cost of living going up, we all look at ways to save money, and unless you use the connection heavily, you may not need more speed.

Karl.

@Matt1980uk, it's best not to speculate about higher speed packages until  they have been announced, and even then they may take a while to be available in your area.

For renewals it's always best to simply phone or use Chat: 03451 720088 during the day, Monday to Saturday.

Don't just click on something offered when renewal is pending, do it in person to negotiate price, and check what length of contract is available. Not every possibility is detailed in Offers & Upgrades etc.

You need to speak to the Loyalty team  / Retentions.
