Hi, I have tried to check on open case for landline. it says fixed on 4/11/2024.

Fault still same but I cannot run connection test as case is open?  which is correct . fault still exists, and cannot reach anyone in chat. Phone no use as I have hearing problems. Anyone assist. Thanks. (needed a rant)

Happy New Year, sorry to hear that you still have the crackle. Line test is clear so if you still hear that crackle with the telephone connected to the test socket we'll need to arrange another engineer visit. If you'd like us to do this please let us know and we'll confirm some details with you

Re landline, engineer did not come back as promised.  Crackle still on line , Do I need to start again with new request?  Thanks.  (Will wait until weather improves.)

Hi Michelle, 

Engineer came and checked box in house, said it threw up a couple of faults which he would check out.

Rang later to say he thinks it is all sorted, but to check over next couple of days to see if fault stays away, if not he would come back. Thanks for your help.

Not sure what you mean by time related, but yes I understand if fault is on my side, I will have to pay for engineer visit.  

I need box and wiring checked.  Available all day next  Mon, Tues or Thursday.

Ok thank you for confirming. I've re-run the line test now which is clear, however I can see that there is currently planned maintenance work ongoing. As this may be affecting the line then I will check this again in the morning to see if this is resolved before we raise this back to Openreach.

Hi Michelle, yes the noise is still at test socket, he did not use his own equipment to test socket.  He did check green box in road and said he found two damage clips which he replaced.

Hi Chris, engineer came,  crackle still there, case has been left open.  my setup still not checked, box in house not been checked.
