Porting landline only, and keeping with talktalk for broadband

I have a broadband plus landline service at present and I am coming up to the end of the contract. I would like to change to a new broadband-only contract (full fibre) but port my landline number to a VoIP provider.  Is this doable? or do I have to use a new number on my VoIP line?

This is not possible, and if you use another VOIP provider, you would have to use the number they assign to you.
