Amazon prime football

I have a smart TV and the TT recordable box.

I have watched Amazon films etc on either device for some time with no issues.

I've now noticed that Amazon has rare football matches on over the next few days and want to watch the Man Utd match tomorrow.

Because it will clash with dinner I thought I would start it and pause it when necessary. So I tested my theory on a match running tonight. The match ran ok, but it said my TV didn't support the facilities I was testing for.  I've got no problems with that and not overly surprised.

 

So I accessed prime via the TT box. As I know the box supports the facilities as I use it for any other service running via the box.

On the TV it showed the match as happening, but had a message that said video unavailable and was the same for all the football this week.No activity at all.

So for the time being I'm forgetting about the extra facilities I was after and more concerned as to why the football wouldn't load at all.

As a 3rd version I tried it on my mobile, everything works on there.

Yes you've got the same problem as me.  Did you happen to watch tennis on Amazon prime recently, if so did you have a problem with that?

Hi 

 

I think this may be an issue / limitation of the App itself on the Youview box, but does warrant further investigation.

 

As you know, the legacy Youview boxes (except DN370T)  do support Netflix however do not support Netflix with Ad's.

 

Amazon live streaming content now has Ad's so this may prevent the content from showing / starting.  This too will begin with an Advert, so should not play, but is not live content.

 

This will of course work correctly with the new TalkTalk 4K TV box or TV Hub. You may be eligible to upgrade to one of these, and can give our Teams a call to request this.

 

Meanwhile, you can try a Youview Maintenance Reset  to reset the box and reinstall the App to retest.

 

I'll flag this here for investigation to verify if this is failing because of the addition of Ad's with the live content.

I am having a similar issue.

 

I am using a Youview box and when i go to the Prime app player for all the football matches it says video is unavailable, even for the 2 matches that are taking place right now, so i am unable to watch on my youview box but it has worked all the prior years that the football has been on Prime.

 

When i use my laptop and sign in to Prime i can watch both the matches with no problems at all.
