Pressing BBC1 on remote taking me to iPlayer

For the last couple of weeks pressing 1 on my remote is taking ne to iPlayer instead of straight to BBC1.  This is very annoying.  I have a Netgem 4k box.  Tried rescanning channels.  Aerial connection is fine.  Anyone know how this can be resolved ?  Is this a netgem problem ?
thanks.

Hi

You can also force the box to stop loading Iplayer when the signal is weak, with the following :

Switching over from IP fallback (iPlayer) to DVB aerial source for BBC channels.

1) Navigate to ITV1 by pressing “3” on the remote control.

2) Press the “CH-” key on the remote to load BBC TWO

3) An info bar will appear towards the bottom, immediately press the “Right” arrow key
on the remote to navigate to the “Settings” option.

4) Immediately press the “OK” button on the remote control. This will show a new box
titled “Channel Source” for BBC TWO
Note that you will need to perform steps 3 and 4 (pressing “right” & “OK”) in quick
succession - i.e. within about 2 seconds. If you aren’t quick enough, simply press “CH+” to
load ITV1 again and repeat from step 2.

5) Use the “Left” or “Right” arrow keys to switch to “BBC TWO HD” which is the aerial
version of the channel. The source labelled just BBC TWO is the iPlayer version.

6) All other BBC channels should now play through your aerial, i.e. the iPlayer loading
screen should no longer appear. You can check this by navigating to either BBC ONE
(channel #1) or BBC THREE (channel #23).

Thanks

Karl.

Thank you for your quick response.  Really appreciate it.  Glad I’m not the only one with the issue.  It’s reassuring that it’s being looked into.
Hopefully will be sorted soon.

I have been offering suggestions regarding issues with the Netgem box, but reported issues seem to be increasing, so don't want to waste your time with potential solutions that may not work.
I know these issues have been reported to Netgem and TalkTalk are awaiting a firmware update to apply to the boxes.
Staff are back on Monday and will hopefully be able to advise further then.

If this is your only issue then use channels 101 and 102, which should work ok and also give you a better picture, as will 103, 104 etc.

If you have additional issues, in the meantime I suggest you put the aerial in the TV and bypass the box and use your TV tuner if possible.
