Was just about to purchase sky cinema for Christmas as I had an offer for 4.99 and it's completely vanished. No sign of now tv on talktalk at all .so I guess when my offer on entertainment runs out I will hafto go directly to now to purchase..and also hafto purchase the boost ...so it begs the question. Is that the end of talktalk tv .because 5 pound a month for the box to watch free tv is not appealing

Hi

Sorry to hear this.  If there is a stuck order in the system they will usually raise an internal ticket to have this progressed to closed.

Been a nightmare ...at first they was saying I dont have tv services ..so i said check my bill I'm paying for it ..then it turned in to a stick order preventing the cancellation so I hafto wait for that to clear before I can get back in touch to cancel so I hafto wait 7 days then get back in touch ...absolutely shocking. I put a complaint in as I'm still paying for it

Hi

Give our teams a call, but dont mention the word cancel, you will only confuse them.  They may think you want to cancel your contract.

Simply mention that you want to remove the TV aspect from your service and return the TV Box.  They can then send you out a returns bag.

Thanks

Karl.

Absolute nonsense. The TV fee of £5 can be cancelled at any time subject to returning the box.

Hi

TalkTalk sill supply broadband and the TV HUB, however there will be no other additions such as Now or Netflix for the foreseeable future.

Hi

Netflix customers have been contacted to advise that this is no longer available.

Now TV customers will soon be contacted to advise the same.  Now TV options are no longer available to add from any source.

I signed up for TalkTalk Broadband and TV in September and the deal was Now Entertainment at £4.99 per month until August 2025 and Now Cinema £4.99 per month until August 2025 plus the standard TalkTalk TV monthly fee of £5 per month. I noticed last month TalkTalk is now charging me £9.99 per month for Now Entertainment but still Now Cinema is £4.99 per month.

Why is TalkTalk not honouring what the contract says?

Also why has TalkTalk taken the decision to end the association with Now TV because if I make any changes to the Now boosts I won’t be able to get them back.

Does TalkTalk really think people will sign up for what is essentially a Freeview plus box for £5 per month? It’s Freeview! Most TV’s have the apps that are on the TalkTalk TV box anyway.

TalkTalk also refuse to offer Digital Voice for new customers so I got it from Phonely instead for £9.97 and comes with 1200 landline mins and 1200 mins to mobiles. So for TV I will probably need a Sky stream box, it would be easier and cheaper to get everything from just one provider such as Sky or Virgin Media and EE making TalkTalk seem pointless.

When contracts come to an end I very much doubt people will stay, I am literally counting down the months, set up was not a good experience and customer service is abysmal

Hi

For now, existing subscribers will still continue however this will be phased out at some point in the new year.  Customers will be contacted before hand when this happens. As yet I have no dates for this.

Thanks

Karl.

I'm guessing talktalk tv will eventually be withdrawn as 5 pound a month for what?

Hi @Staciejeffrey

NowTV and Netflix add to bill have been withdrawn and are no longer available.   Customers can still go directly to Now TV to add a subscription.

Thanks

Karl.

Sounds odd. Make sure that your personal details including TalkTalk phone number and/or account number are complete on your community profile (click here) so that the support team can link your forum identity with your account and check out what's happened. They will hopefully respond tomorrow.
