Billed for month after leaving and continuous billing??

I have been billed for a full month of payment even though, when I cancelled and got the confirmation of cancellation, it said I owed nothing. I'm also still due to be billed AGAIN at the end of December

Been threatened with collections and a bad credit rating via email despite this being my first notification of an "overdue bill" even though I owe NOTHING!

Makes me so glad to have left if this is how they treat people, trying to scam them out of more money and threatening them!

Please sort this asap.

You must start your own thread, @Midgen. It's very important that there is no confusion between customers'  accounts for replies.

I left on 13th October - received the text and email confirming I had left but they are still billing me. I was offered 50% of it back. What an outrage. I have made a complaint but doubt I’ll ever hear from them again as I have no confirmation anyone is looking into it. Good luck!

I have just gotten off the phone with the support team. I do NOT owe any more than I've already paid - in fact I may be due a refund. However I apparently have to wait until the 28th December for my final bill to be generated, despite the fact that my contract fully ended on 13th November.

I was told to disregard the threatening email, but why was I ever sent it in the first place if I don't owe anything? What if I had been a vulnerable person who would have panicked and paid the amount online, but who generally can't afford it due to the cost of living?

TalkTalk - you really need to fix these autogenerated emails in whatever email system you're using. You need to stop auto enrollment of emails and look at doing them manually if it is causing issues like this. I work in marketing, I know it can be done. "That's just the system" isn't an excuse. Sort it out.

Now to shop around and change my phone contract which is also with TalkTalk, really don't wish to run into this kind of thing again if I can help it!

I already paid a full bill in October AND November despite my leaving date being the 13th October.

I paid a bill on the 5th of November for a full month, so why am I being billed on the 4th December as well and also on the 28th December upcoming on my account? I also never deleted or removed my direct debit so why am I being punished when this was always my method of payment?

It basically seems TalkTalk are still sending me charges as if I was a still a paying customer when I already left 2 months ago.

Talktalk always bills a full month ahead, which may go past the notice date for leaving, @ellamaychan.

This is in case a switch or closure of service is delayed or the customer simply changes their mind and chooses to stay after all.

Any overpayment is then refunded in the subsequent bill and can be reclaimed via My Account to your bank, using the same details.

Staff will respond during the day to check your particular situation.
