Charged £12.50 fee for recurring card payment issues

Hi

I have had this account for several years and used recurring card payments. 

 

Through July and August I had several very confusing emails and text messages around issues with Talktalks recurring card payment systems (very confusing ones saying there is an issue and then a follow up saying ignore the last communication)

 

In August I paid my bill by card because of these issues but have a late payment admin charge of £12.50 now which doesn't seem fair? I've added my phone number to my profile so you can check my account. I would like this charge refunded please. 

 

I would like to update my card details but I don't seem to be able to so are there still issues with the recurrent card payment system? Do we know how long we are supposed to pay manually? Will we keep getting late charges added? 

I am a customer just like you. I'll try to help based on my experiences over the years getting issues sorted out in my TalkTalk services!

Recurring card payments have been unavailable since June, and we have contacted you to ask that you make one off payments, your payment date is set for the 24th of each month the last payment was actually made late, which automatically generates the admin fee,  A credit has been raised to clear the charge on the next bill. 

 

When your bill is generated on or around the 18th of each month please make a one off payment until the card payment method is back.

@nic1987, assume it's for the foreseeable  - they made a change to this notice, without fanfare:
