Is there any way of making a complaint to Openreach? This morning, just before 07:00, there's the sound of machinery outside. It's two Openreach employees, each with a vehicle, and whatever noisy machinery they were using. At some stage of the proceedings my fibre connection was cut. Although presumably Openreach can contact affected households they don't appear to have bothered. When I asked one of them when my connection might be restored his reply was a somewhat indifferent "About an hour". I tried asking for an Openreach contact number and was given the reply "Google it" as he walked away from me. I can only conclude that Openreach employees are so used to causing inconvenience that they no longer care about the consequences of their and their employer's actions.

Thanks but that's not what I needed to complain about being woken up before 07:00, having my connection cut and ill-mannered engineers.

Thanks Karl but there's no facility that I can find to express a concern or complaint. There is, however, a facility to thank an engineer so I've hijacked it it provide negative feedback. The arrogance of Openreach is typical of a monopoly business. I wonder if Zzoomm, who are currently digging uop Beartown, will bring a measure of competiton to the market.
