I've been getting a lot of ping/lag when multiple people are on the internet. Was looking at setting up a Eerro 6+ to hopefully help fix these problems. The problem is I don't have a modem, is it still possible to disable the wifi on my router so I'm using the Eerro instead?

That seems to have done the trick and the internet is now working with the manual IP. Would I need to do anything else?

Try to do a Restart network via:-
Settings > Network Settings
Tap the 3 dot icon in the top right of the window, then take the Restart Network option in the resulting window.

Hi @Legend2
You have only done part of the configuration work. You have not edited the settings in the Lease Range section to be:-
Subnet IP: 192.168.2.0
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Starting IP: 192.168.2.10 (anything from 192.168.2.2)
Ending IP: 192.168.2.254

Can you please PM me (to preserve your privacy) screenshots of the DHCP & NAT page, plus the Home tab of the eero app?

I've just tried the settings you suggested above, it seems to be connected, but the internet isn't working.

SGM can be useful in certain circumstances, as it is a form of Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritise certain IP packets locally within the eero mesh network.
It looks like the app or an eeroOS update has slightly changed the options, 192.168.0.0/16 will do.

Interestingly I just put the SQM setting on in the EERO app and it seems to have magically fixed my bufferbloat completely. On the Waveform website when testing for bufferbloat, I was getting a D grade, with the SQM setting on it's now A+. Could this one setting alone really be that good?

Hi Keith, I just set it up and had a look at the settings. I can't see the prefix 192.168.0.0, the closest I've got is 192.168.0.0/16

Hi @Legend2
Assuming that the Sagemcom is using the default IP network 192.168.1.1/24 IP network where its IP address is 192.168.1.1, you could configure the eero to use the 192.168.2.0/24 network.
To configure this in the app, go to:-
Settings > Network Settings > Network Services > DHCP & NAT
Select Manual IP, then set the IP address prefix to 192.168.0.0 and input the IP address range.
Typical settings are:-
Subnet IP: 192.168.2.0
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Starting IP: 192.168.2.10 (anything from 192.168.2.2)
Ending IP: 192.168.2.254
Like this, the router will allocate itself the address 192.168.2.1.
Now, tap the Save button at the top right of the window and a message will be displayed saying that the eero needs to reboot. Accept this & wait until it has done this.

Okay, thank you. It is a traditional mastersocket so FTTC.
on 18-04-2025 07:48 PM
If it's coming through a traditional mastersocket, you have FTTC, @Legend2.
You'd know it was FTTP by a different sort of box on the wall etc.
on 18-04-2025 07:13 PM
The max speed for my area is 75mbs, so I'm guessing we have FTTC.
on 18-04-2025 04:50 PM
This can be delivered over full fibre or FTTC, which do you have?

Ah, I've possibly posted in the wrong board? I'm with Talk talk 65.
on 18-04-2025 04:30 PM
Hi @Legend2
I have noticed this thread is in the full fibre board. If you do have this service, then just connect the eero to the ONT and forget about the Sagemcom. There will then be a further complication, who's full fibre do you have, as CityFibre needs a special profile for an eero.
