Hi Mods
I have a dead spot in one of my bedrooms where my eero Pro 6 will not reach and my smart devices often struggle if we have lots of visitors in the house who all connect to the WIFI. The main issue is the Blind/Dead Spot in my daughters room.
With the very, very old/early router this wasn't a problem but with the Brilliant New Tech it is! 🤔
Is there anything you can do?
Cheers

Hi RazzOne
I'm just sending you a Private Message to confirm some details so we can take a look at this for you.
Thanks

Hi @RazzOne
That is exactly as I said then:-
"The problem is that the Eero is designed to be part of a mesh network, requiring at least one more unit."
I will ask TalkTalk to consider your request, you may have to contact the Loyalty dept for them.

Hi @KeithFrench
I am aware of all that and thank you for your help but my neighbour (also with TalkTalk) had the very same issue and they sent him more Mesh Routers. I have borrowed my fathers Eero (also on TalkTalk) and placed it as a second Eero in my daughter room, hard wired and the WIFI issue has gone but my dad wants his router back!
Maybe @Michelle-TalkTalk may be able to help if she still works there?
Cheers

Hi @RazzOne
The problem is that the Eero is designed to be part of a mesh network, requiring at least one more unit.
Slow speed, intermittent dropouts, breaks in the signal or no signal on some or all devices or no internet access might be caused by Wi-Fi interference from other local networks, which can also lead to a permanent reduction in speed. No ISP can be responsible for your local environment, this is mainly a byproduct of the popularity of Wi-Fi.
However, other factors should be investigated first. When this happens, what is the status displayed in the app for the internet connection? Do you have any wired connections & if so, how do they perform?
Generally speaking, the 2.4GHz band suffers much more from interference than the 5GHz band, but the 2.4GHz one can sometimes have a better range, but this all depends on your local area.
The next stage involves sending out a guide to you to help you get me some important diagnostic results so that I can analyse them for you and recommend changes to your router configuration to solve them.
I only send this out to people who request it.
Whilst the Eero is supposed to manage Wi-Fi interference, if this is very bad, particularly in the 2.4GHz band, then it cannot do anything about it, no router can. The same goes for any router at that point. Other things that may then need to be investigated are its location within your property and the WiFi bands that you use. I can help with any of this. However, I would suggest that you follow my help to find out what the root cause of the problem is, before throwing money at it.
