Hi, I have tried to check on open case for landline. it says fixed on 4/11/2024.

Fault still same but I cannot run connection test as case is open?  which is correct . fault still exists, and cannot reach anyone in chat. Phone no use as I have hearing problems. Anyone assist. Thanks. (needed a rant)

Hi newboy,

Did you try with the telephone connected to the test socket (the socket under the master socket faceplate)?

How many telephone sockets do you have in your home?

Hi

OK, before we look to arrange an engineer, just a couple of quick questions.

Have you tested another handset to rule out a fault with this, or tested it at a friends or neighbours so you are sure this is working correctly ?

Have you tested directly at the master socket of 'Test Socket' if you have one ?

Thanks

Karl.

Hi Debbie,  Thanks for reply,

No, I do not have a no dial tone fault.  It is just very noisy,  crackles a lot.

I am hard of hearing as it is, this just makes it impossible.

Hi @newboy

I'm really sorry about this.

The line tests are clear. Do you have a no dial tone fault?
