GlobalProtect VPN/D-Link DSL 3782 Router causing problems while working from home

Hi,

 

I've been having connection issues while working from home while connected to my work's GlobalProtect VPN. After taking a look at the issue with my IT department, we found no issues on their end, and we found multiple instances of other TalkTalk customers with the exact same router (D-Link DSL 3782) and VPN (GlobalProtect) as me having this issue, all of which were fixed after a member of TalkTalk's support team arranged for them to be sent a newer/different model router:

Sorry for the wait, wanted to give the router a bit of time to make sure there were no issues.

 

It seems to have solved the problem and everything is working fine now.

I have ordered you a different make and model of router and a returns bag for your current router.

Hi @Colin3355,

 

As you have seen from the other posts there is a known compatibility issue between the older D-Link routers and Global Protect VPN, the staff here will be able to send you a replacement router to resolve this for you.

 

For one of the TalkTalk staff on this community to be able to look into this you will need to update your community profile to include your name, landline telephone number that your TalkTalk service is provided on & an alternative contact number. This will allow them to identify you, and they will then be able to help.

 

Don't post any personal details in this thread, just add them to your community profile.

 

Then they will hopefully be able to respond to this post within a day or two.
