Zoom problems

Hi Everyone,

 

I have the Fibre 65 product and have had it for over two years with no issues. 

 

Over the past few weeks almost every afternoon I have problems with Zoom - a video call is next to impossible and even turning my cam off - people still cannot hear me.  Wifi signal is strong. If I connect to a hotspot using my mobile or use the same device in the office I encounter no issues.

 

Openreach have been working in my area, and I now can get full FTTP fibre. Unsure if this is connected with the sudden onset of issues?

 

I have so far tried;

 

- restarting the router (several times!)

- using a new router TalkTalk sent me in February 2021

- used the master/test socket

- connected via ethernet

 

I'm at a complete loss - can anyone help?

The Huawei hub is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

 

Let us know how the connection compares with this router.

Hi Debbie,

 

Yes the new router is the same as the old one - a sagemcom hub. I don't have a huawei router to try.

I can see that you currently using a Sagemcom WIFI hub, was your previous router also a Sagemcom hub?

 

Have you ever tested with a Huawei WIFI hub?

Hi,

 

Yes it also happens when connecting via ethernet.

 

Also please note that this doesn't just happen on one device - it happens to two of us when working from home. When we take both devices into our offices - they work perfectly on Zoom/Google Meet/Teams.

 

It happens during the morning and afternoon, no specific time.

Morning,

 

I'm sorry to hear this. I've run a test on the line now which hasn't detected a fault and the connection stats also look ok. Can I just confirm, does the zoom issue also happen if you connect wired? Does it always happen at exactly at the same time everyday?
