Internet is intermittent.
Alexa is acting like we're strangers!
Router light is always on but no connection.
When on, great in one room but very poor in another (usually both great).
Nothing changed this end at all!
Tested line, they see there's a problem but text me to goto talktalk.co.uk/techhelp and communicate with a bot (digital assistant Sara!).
Trying to fix a dish washer as well so can't be doing with this around and around in circles (been there done that many times).
Would appreciate real human help!

As this issue comes and goes and there is no problem with the line I think this may be the way to go, and thanks for being the first to suggest this. Please do send one out, do you have the details you need?

Hello,
Ok, would you like us to send a replacement router for testing purposes to see how the connection compares?
Thanks
Michelle

I have many times in the past (when this same issue happened) and it lead to nothing, well apart from having to reset all my devices! Quite time consuming and very frustrating.
As I type this I am getting a speed of 6mbs, while in my other room it's 60mbs! It's not the line in or for the most part the router failing, it's the very poor, inconsistent reach of the router!
The fabric of the building also isn't a concern as I usually have the same speeds in most parts of the house.

Hi UITA23!,
Have you tried resetting the router to factory default settings? If not then can you give this a try and let us know how you get on - Restore your router to factory settings - TalkTalk Help & Support

30 min power off completed and no change.
As much as I appreciate the replies and testing, the fact is that I have no internet in a room that I did, my main work studio!
This isn't the first time this has happened and every time the line is fine, why wouldn't it be.
Does your testing rule out that a router maybe at fault? The intermittent nature and nothing changing my end leads me to believe that your systems are flawed and you can't test everything.
At best I get just over 60mbs, no fault of TalkTalk but compared to some, snail speed! I'd like my 60mbs to at least be consistent.
The usual scenario sees me complaining on here and all suddenly seems to go right, I hope this is the case this time.
Router age is probably documented but at a guess, 3-4 years.

I haven't done a full 30 but will try soon. It seems to do this around every 6 months or so! Connection is usually very poor in my studio (where I need it the most) but now sporadic.

Hi @UITACOOM
Have you tried powering down the router for a full 30 minutes? This will clear the current session.
How long have you had your current router?

Just wi-fi so far. Seems like the reach has become limited.

Hi
Tests are clear, no issues stand out. Are you seeing the drops from wired devices or just Wi-Fi devices ?
Thanks
Karl.
